Unit Topic: Physics Lesson Topic: Energy and Energy Resources Lesson Objective: SWBAT identify various forms of energy and comprehend that energy is the ability to cause change. Essential Question: How can we distinguish forms of energy? How can we pinpoint when, where, and how energy changes from one form to another?
Daily Activities: Monday- Students will be tested on energy concepts. Tuesday- Students will synthesis energy concepts by answering the questions on www.brainpop.com. Wednesday – Students will create an essay on renewable energy resources by using the computer, books & magazines in the classroom. Thursday- Students will continue to create an essay on renewable energy resources by using the computer, books & magazines in the classroom. Friday- Students will present their essays on renewable energy resources. Plans for Differentiation of Instruction/Reaching all Learners: Visuals will be utilized. Grouping of students. TPR (Total Physical Recall) will be used by teacher in order to fully explain concepts that are briefly described in the textbook & a computer website about Newton’s laws and energy forms: www.brainpop.comwill be utilized.
